WOW! This is amazing, Fatima!! :D Is it a palm/date tree? I just love how you blended those colours! <3 The way you focused on the tree is great too! I think you're becoming really good at canvas painting! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much Kenza! It's a coconut tree (they all look pretty much the same), you can see the coconuts on it. Thanks again. Btw, did you try doing any canvas painting?
You're so welcome! Lol, I thought so - sorry, I was being a bit clumsy about mentioning a date tree. XD I haven't got round to doing any yet, but pretty soon I'm thinking of buying a canvas - I know there's a shop, The Works, that sells them. :)
Hi readers! Here's another one of those essays that I mentioned I'd be sharing in here. This one was written on 12th April, 2016. The topic is mentioned below. Comments, feedback, and suggestions are very welcome! :) What changes would you like to see take place in your country in the next five years? Everything has some space for improvement, to strive to make it better, if not perfect. There are many changes that I would like to see take place in my homeland for it to improve. Firstly, I would like to see my country cleaner. The garbage disposal system of many places in Sindh, especially Karachi, which is the provincial capital, needs to be regenerated. The bio-degradable waste needs to be sorted and tackled accordingly, and the recyclable waste recycled. This change would not only be a relief to the common people, but also improve the country’s outlook. Secondly, I would like to see Pakistan greener than it already is. Although the province of Punjab, and Kash
Here is a story that I wrote recently on a topic of a past O level paper. Please keep in mind while reading it that this is the third draft of the story. Feedback would be taken seriously and appreciated. An instantaneous splash of water landing on the deck woke up the sailor. He leapt out of bed and hurried up to the deck, hoping that all was well. The situation was worse than he had anticipated. It was raining cats and dogs, accompanied by a very strong gale. The roar of thunder indicated the beginning of a storm. The bottom of the ship was already flooded about six inches deep with water and its level was increasing with the rain. The sailor quickly rang the siren for help and grabbed some buckets. Sleepy-eyed men came out of their cabins to help and he directed them towards the flooded area, where he handed out buckets and yelled out instructions. His voice was barely audible over the heavy rain and thunder, but they seemed to understand. They went to work at once, fill
Hey there! I wrote a poem. This one took a lot more thought and effort than most of my poems - which are usually spontaneous, raw and emotional - that I don't post anywhere. I thought a lot about this idea and took almost a week to complete it. I also had to cut out several words, rearrange certain stanzas, and rewrite it a couple of times. I'm quite pleased with the result though - I think this is the best piece of poetry I've managed to write so far. I would appreciate some feedback on it, if you have any, as I know this is far from perfect. Also, let me know if you have any suggestions for what kind of poetry I might write next. I could do with some new ideas. Here's the poem now: It is easy to dream When the eyes are closed - When the mind is numb. When there is no expectation Of life or living - When there is no burden to carry. But when the eyes are open - And the mind can see What the universe has to offer. When the heart can feel,
