Still life with chalk pastels

Here is something I did a couple of days ago; still life done with chalk pastels. I first drew the objects with a pencil, and then coloured them, first with a single colour, and then emphasized the darker and lighter areas with different shades, using white for highlights. In the end, I coloured in the background. I've sprayed it with lacquer so that it remains safe and doesn't come off.

    The poster is great. You've done the shadows wonderfully, especially the pear. And the mortar-and-pestle is shaded so perfectly!
    I am glad the lacquer prevented it from smudging. It also adds a grainy effect.

    Awesome! I love drawing still-life images... you've done it beautifully! :D I love the shading you did on the pot (I know there's another name for the "pot" but I can't remember what? XD) The colours you chose are perfect too!
