Dot Painting

Here is a picture of a Dot Painting I made recently. I did it with a pointer, instead of the actual bamboo pen used for it, since it gets very messy. It turned out to be fine, though.

 It is made entirely of tiny dots. The darker areas are denser as they have more dots, and the lighter areas have fewer dots.

    OHMIGOSH THIS IS AWESOME! How long did it take you anyways?? xDD Anyhoo, do you want to make a collab blog?? I was just looking around the settings place to find this thing called as "Add people who can edit and post" or something. It allows me to add people who can edit and create blog posts. So, I thought, 'Why not make a collab blog or something like that?', and the first blog that came to me was yours! If yes, please tell me what the blog should be about. If no, well... It's okay with me xDD

      Thanks! It took me around two hours to finish.
      Yes, I know how a collab blog works, sure we can make one. Any ideas? How about a blog where all the kid writers we know online and irl publish their writings? There can be me, you, Zainab, Azka, Kenza, and any others if we know.

    OMG! This is SO SO awesome!! Gosh all those details... ahhh, how did you do it? :O The way you've contrasted the denser areas with the less dense areas is fantastic! I don't think I'd ever be able to do that. (I had to do this dot thing in physics for... wait it's not a CRO thingamabob... eh, whatever... I totally messed up when I had to represent the wave on the CRO with dots. And that wasn't much. XD You must be so talented at doing dot drawings! :D) Keep it up!

    Btw, I love the new format so much! It's beautiful! Your new icon is also great! :D

      OMG you really made my day! Is it that amazing?! I learned this technique in a workshop. We did this using bamboo pens and dipped them in ink to do it. It got really messy, and the younger kids could hardly manage it. I've done this one by myself though, and used a felt tipped pen. No, I'm not that talented as I know there are many others who can do better than me. But thanks! :)

    Great Fatima! Your efforts and creativity made ordinary thing very valuable.
    I feel dot painting is a kind of sketching. In sketching we give details with dark and light strokes and here you make dots for this purpose.

Short Story~The Storm

Here is a story that I wrote recently on a topic of a past O level paper. Please keep in mind while reading it that this is the third draft  of the story. Feedback would be taken seriously and appreciated. An instantaneous splash of water landing on the deck woke up the sailor. He leapt out of bed and hurried up to the deck, hoping that all was well. The situation was worse than he had anticipated. It was raining cats and dogs, accompanied by a very strong gale. The roar of thunder indicated the beginning of a storm. The bottom of the ship was already flooded about six inches deep with water and its level was increasing with the rain. The sailor quickly rang the siren for help and grabbed some buckets. Sleepy-eyed men came out of their cabins to help and he directed them towards the flooded area, where he handed out buckets and yelled out instructions. My Blogging Workshop Experience

On the morning of Saturday, April 25, I woke up with a start as the alarm went off. The first thing that came to my mind was my workshop. Yes, today I, along with my sister Zainab, was going to conduct a workshop for kids on Blogging. I had been thinking and planning this workshop for weeks. I had prepared the handouts, which were six pages long, containing ‘Steps for making a blog, posting, and commenting on it’, ‘Guidelines for smart blogging’, my article, ‘The Importance of Commenting on a Child’s Blog’, an article Zainab and I wrote; ‘Why should you have your blog and what can you do on it’, and a recommended blog list containing links of mine and my friends blogs. I and Zainab had also made a presentation for the workshop. The workshop was supposed to begin at ten. It started on time with twelve participants. The age group was ten till fourteen years.
