My Workshop Announced!

 I haven't posted much recently, as I was very busy with a few things. One of them is that I will actually be conducting a workshop soon! Yes, really, I and my sister Zainab, will together be conducting a workshop for kids aged ten till fourteen years. (And I'm still thirteen!) So I was busy in planning it, making handouts, and thinking about it.

 Below is the flyer, which I and Zainab made on Powerpoint; my father edited it. It is also shared on ERDC's facebook page.

    The workshop sounds really intriguing! I wish I could attend! Sadly I don't live in Pakistan. XD Anyway, you've really formatted this poster well! I'm sure you'll do this workshop really well too - the Handicraft Sale you did was a success! :D Also, I love Zainab's picture! She's done some awesome artwork for it! <3 Wait... really? You and Zainab contributed to the textbooks at ERDC? That's awesome! You could post some pictures of it on your blog! (That's if you want to, of course.) Anyway, best of luck with the workshop! I'm interested in hearing about it. :)

      Go to your blogger dashboard (www.blogger.com). Click on the name of your blog. On the left side of the page that opens, there will be many things like Overview, Posts, Pages, etc. Click on Pages. Then click on the button that says New page. You can put whatever you want in that page. Then publish it. To make it functional and appear on top of your blog, go to Layout. On the Pages gadget, click on edit. Tick all the pages and save it. Then view your blog to see if the new page is there.

Short Story~The Storm

Here is a story that I wrote recently on a topic of a past O level paper. Please keep in mind while reading it that this is the third draft  of the story. Feedback would be taken seriously and appreciated. An instantaneous splash of water landing on the deck woke up the sailor. He leapt out of bed and hurried up to the deck, hoping that all was well. The situation was worse than he had anticipated. It was raining cats and dogs, accompanied by a very strong gale. The roar of thunder indicated the beginning of a storm. The bottom of the ship was already flooded about six inches deep with water and its level was increasing with the rain. The sailor quickly rang the siren for help and grabbed some buckets. Sleepy-eyed men came out of their cabins to help and he directed them towards the flooded area, where he handed out buckets and yelled out instructions. His voice was barely audible over the heavy rain and thunder, but they seemed to understand. They went to work at once, fill

Poetry: To Dream

Hey there! I wrote a poem. This one took a lot more thought and effort than most of my poems - which are usually spontaneous, raw and emotional - that I don't post anywhere. I thought a lot about this idea and took almost a week to complete it. I also had to cut out several words, rearrange certain stanzas, and rewrite it a couple of times. I'm quite pleased with the result though - I think this is the best piece of poetry I've managed to write so far.  I would appreciate some feedback on it, if you have any, as I know this is far from perfect. Also, let me know if you have any suggestions for what kind of poetry I might write next. I could do with some new ideas.
